The food's genuinely great and the hygiene issues are "Improvement Necessary" — not catastrophic. Worth a punt if you're not a germaphobe.
The Grand Taj is a high-stakes gamble if you’re looking for a proper curry fix. With a hygiene rating that makes your mom proud, this place serves up some of the best Indian food while playing a dangerous game with its cleanliness. The Sunday buffet? A steal, especially if you’re a naan addict, and the Shatkora Lamb has become the stuff of legends. Georgina Evans and friends definitely took the right risk by diving in.
But don’t get too comfortable; the hygiene rating isn’t perfect, which might have you questioning the safety of that delicious lamb biryani. Still, if you’re feeling adventurous and can overlook the odd messy corner, you’ll find flavors that’ll dance on your tongue. Just don’t forget to call ahead, or you might miss out on a memorable night filled with warm hospitality and spicy delights. 🌶️
