Cafe Lisboa is the spot in Woking where you can pretend you’re sipping coffee in Lisbon without the airfare. Richard Woodhouse finally stumbled on this hidden treasure, and boy, was it a revelation. The home-baked pastries are less 'from a packet' and more 'someone woke up early to make these'—a rare treat in the pastry world. If you’re into cod cakes, RithuTheExplorer Vlog can’t recommend the pastéis de bacalhau highly enough; they’re apparently the real deal.
Maria Abreu’s grandson is clearly a fan of the cakes, and if that’s not a glowing endorsement, I don’t know what is. Daz and Conor Bakhuizen rave about the breakfast, which hits all the right notes with its fresh, perfectly cooked dishes. Ideal for a cheeky midweek lunch or a post-walk snack, this place is one to keep on speed dial.
