Taka Marylebone is a Japanese restaurant that’s trying hard to impress but seems to be tripping over its own feet. While Re Gina praised the wagyu sandwich as incredible, there’s a jarring contrast with other experiences that left diners feeling underwhelmed. The omakase tasting menu had a few highlights, but it wasn't all that it was cracked up to be, according to Kakay.

The setting is lovely, and service has its moments, but with mixed feedback on food quality and portions, you might be rolling the dice with this one. If you're looking for a top-notch Japanese meal, you might be better off elsewhere. Or you could just stick with a simple sushi roll and call it a day.
