Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Gail's Shaftesbury Avenue is like that friend who’s always there but doesn’t quite know how to impress. It’s clean and tidy, so props for hygiene, but the food experience teeters on mediocre. Iris found solace in a cinnamon bun, while Diego enjoyed a medley of bakery delights that were just ‘great.’ But hold on, Claire's experience was a total nightmare when her pre-ordered panettone was sold out. Nothing says 'happy holidays' like a good ol’ customer service fail.
With some staff giving you warm vibes and others channeling their inner grinch, it’s a mixed bag. The iced quince matcha drink had Reena buzzing, but then you’ve got Amalia finding two flies in her porridge. So, if you’re after a cute spot to hang out, go for it, but keep one eye on your food.
"I got their iced quince matcha. It was ok."
"Really enjoyed their selection of sweet and savory bakery products."
"Such a nice and lovely staff, lovely flavour coffee."
