Gail's - Clifton Road is the type of cafe that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside, mostly thanks to the homey pastries and super friendly staff. Katie, in particular, seems to be the reigning queen of customer service, making even the grumpiest of Yorkshire folk feel welcomed. The coffee and baked goods are on point, and the vibes are cozy.
Despite its charm, you might find yourself longing for a bit more excitement on the menu. The baked eggs are a highlight, but don't go thinking you're going to discover the next big food trend here. It’s solid, it’s nice, and you can enjoy a chat while nibbling on something delicious, but it’s not changing the world anytime soon.
