🏠 BASEMENT AND GROUND FLOOR 16 OLD COMPTON STREET, LONDON, W1D 4TL
Tier Achieved:
Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Eat Tokyo is the kind of place that’s been a part of London life since 2018, and not just because of its unshakeable queue. Cassie Chen calls it the top value-for-money Japanese spot, and honestly, she’s not wrong. Their chicken katsu curry seems to be a hit with everyone, and even if you find yourself in a bit of a rush, the service is quick enough to keep you on schedule. Just be prepared to play tag with the queue, especially during lunch.
While most of the food holds its own, not everyone is on cloud nine every time. Edoardo raves about the big portions and affordability, but Louie points out that the spider rolls felt a tad less generous than usual. Still, if you’re looking for a budget-friendly meal that hits the spot, Eat Tokyo is worth the detour.
"Great experience overall for a budget Japanese."
"We always enjoy the food and reasonable prices."
"If you want authentic, cooked to order fresh sushi, amazing sides and bento, this is your spot!"
