Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Black Spice is trying to be the Caribbean food king, and while some dishes hit the mark, others could use a bit of a makeover. Jamie and bloo are out here raving about the goat curry, which seems to be the star of the show—perfectly spiced and worthy of a food award. But then you’ve got Sha, who found the chicken soup to be a watery disaster, leaving him with a bad taste in his mouth.
The place itself is clean and has a decent vibe, but it’s just a bit hit or miss when it comes to the food. Angela thinks it’s delicious, but a couple of other reviewers are feeling let down by the lack of flavor in certain dishes. If you fancy some Caribbean cuisine, it might be worth a try, but maybe avoid the soup.
