Mediocre energy. You'd probably do better cooking at home.

The epitome of "does the job." Safe enough, food's fine. But let's be honest β€” your kitchen's probably cleaner AND tastier.

Tasty pastries, but cleanliness is a big issue.

Gail's Walthamstow Village is a classic case of beauty and the beast. The pastries and coffee have their fans, but service and cleanliness seem to be the real letdown here. There’s a lot to likeβ€”the almond croissant is crispy and soft, and the staff can be lovely, especially Funda, but the dirtiness of the place is a hard pill to swallow. Customers like Ala Zommer are leaving with fly-infested pastries and questionable cutleryβ€”and that's a serious red flag in the food game.

At the end of the day, if you can look past the grime, you might find a decent spot for baked goods. Just don’t expect a Michelin star experience, or you might end up feeling more disappointed than satisfied.
