Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Caffe Nero is like that mate who turns up to brunch in sweatpants: clean but not exactly trying. The early morning buzz is nice, and yes, the drinks are hot, but don't let that Christmas tree fool you. One minute you're enjoying your Iced Pistachio Latte in a 'real' glass, the next, you're discovering the toilets are a horror show. Staff like R A J might be charming, but when Dan Smith says it's filthy, you start to wonder if cleanliness is just a suggestion.
While some staff were friendly, others seem to think customer service is a game of hide and seek. For every lovely interaction, there's a horror story about drinks gone wrong and slow service. If you've got a craving for coffee, you might be better off grabbing a spoon and eating it yourself. Overall, Caffe Nero serves as a decent pit stop if you're in the Trafford Centre, but be prepared to wipe off your seat before you sit down.
