The epitome of "does the job." Safe enough, food's fine. But let's be honest — your kitchen's probably cleaner AND tastier.
New Armouries Cafe is a mixed bag that’s cleaner than your average tourist trap but still manages to serve up a hefty dose of disappointment. Sure, it’s got 5-star hygiene, but that doesn’t mean the food isn’t overpriced and underwhelming. You might enjoy a decent pie if you’re a fan of pastry that’s more flaky than your last Tinder date, but good luck if you were hoping to find anything remotely exciting on the menu.
The staff are friendly enough, but they can’t save this place from being a glorified snack station at a historic site. If you’re hunting for a solid meal while checking out the Tower of London, you might want to lower your expectations and keep your options open. With prices that scream “tourist trap” and a menu that plays it very safe, you might want to just grab a snack and move along.
