🏠 Burro E Salvia, 52 Redchurch Street, London, E2 7DP
Tier Achieved:
Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Burro E Salvia is like that friend who shows up to a dinner party and actually brings good food. The agnolotti is a standout, bathed in brown butter that’s practically begging for a hug. Then there's the sausage ragu, which is so hearty it could probably bench press you. Staff like Paz know the menu inside out, so good luck trying to decide when everything sounds tempting.
But let’s not kid ourselves; it’s still got some vanilla vibes. While the food shines, a couple of reviews hint at service that can feel a bit rushed, and the cozy setting means if you sneeze, the entire restaurant hears it. Still, if you’re in the area and want decent pasta while pretending you're in Italy, it’s a good call.
"Good ambience and amazing service."
"Get the lunch deal! They have 3 courses for £25 or 2 for £20."
"Amazing pasta and wines and dessert!"
