The Ale House is a solid choice if you’re after pints and a decent meal. With a 5-star hygiene rating, you won’t need to worry about questionable cleanliness while you sip on one of their eight cask ales. The Sunday roast is a highlight, and you can't go wrong with their sausages and mash. The atmosphere is friendly and it’s the kind of place you can settle in for a long afternoon of friendly banter over a few pints.
While the food is generally solid, it feels like it’s missing that wow factor. It’s good, but not life-changing. It's the perfect stop if you’re in the area and want a reliable meal, just don’t expect culinary epiphanies. Great local pub vibes, fantastic beer, and decent grub make it a safe bet, even if it’s just a bit Vanilla.
