Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Tamarind Indian Restaurant is the kind of curry house where you might feel a bit nostalgic yet hopeful for a solid meal. Wanda Szwaba had a lovely evening with poppadoms and a spread of curries, raving about the presentation and flavors. Meanwhile, Jon found the food bursting with spices he didn’t expect, but he did mention a slight lack of smiles from the staff—maybe they just need a coffee.
Louise Ottewell shone a light on the fantastic service from Abdul and team. But let’s not forget M. Smith, who had a tomato allergy and ended up with an omelette because everything else was a tomato party—yikes. It’s a mixed bag, but if you’re in Bristol and craving curry, this could do the trick if you’re willing to play the menu roulette.
"The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious."
"Lots of flavours & spices that you don’t always get elsewhere."
"The atmosphere is great, and the customer service is top notch."
