Tier Achieved:
Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Boswells Cafe is your classic local hangout, where the coffee is decent and the staff is friendly enough to make your day. Gormaze, the tall lad with the curly hair, seems to be the star here, serving up smiles and solid brews. I mean, who doesn't love a hazelnut flat white with latte art? It's like a warm hug in a cup.
But don’t get too comfy. The food can be hit or miss. A £6 toasted cheese panini that barely qualifies as a cheese toastie? Yeah, hard pass. And the Victoria sponge… let’s just say it’s more airy than a balloon. If you're looking for a place to chill and chat over coffee, Boswells has your back, but don't expect culinary fireworks or consistency in quality.
"The young man who served was amazing. Nothing too much trouble."
"I ordered a hazelnut flat white... such a pleasant experience."
"Best coffee shop in town for lunch. Quite down to earth."
