Tier Achieved:
Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Caffe Nero in Barnes is like that dependable friend you call when you're craving coffee but don't want to commit to anything fancy. It’s clean and has a solid hygiene rating, but the vibe is just a tad dull. R. Vogli thinks they make the best coffee—good for them. But while Jeremy Dore found both his coffee and pastry alright, others weren’t so lucky.
You can count on them for a decent latte, but be wary; Monique Vajifdar had a major letdown with a stale almond croissant. It’s a safe bet if you're in the area, but don't expect a culinary adventure. At best, it’s a reliable coffee stop.
"They make the best coffee."
"Lovely cool interior on a very hot day."
"Enjoyed my coffee latte."
