Bar 51 is a mixed bag with a 5/5 hygiene score, but the Google rating of 3.0⭐ tells another story. Oliver White gave it five stars, but Lillie ‘Lils’ Baker found the food and drinks to be brilliant. However, Martin Hall and Sat By The Ocean had their issues. Cold food and snappy staff aren't the recipe for a good time, even in a clean place.
If you’re popping in for a quick drink and some snacks, keep your expectations low. As long as you’re not looking for the culinary equivalent of a three-course meal, you might find something to enjoy. But prepare for some inconsistency in service. It’s a solid fuel stop if you need to refuel, but don’t plan a feast here.
