Tier Achieved:
Good food, hygiene's had some notes. Probably fine.
The food's genuinely great and the hygiene issues are "Improvement Necessary" — not catastrophic. Worth a punt if you're not a germaphobe.
Annie's Tearoom is the kind of place that charms you with its quaint decor and delightful owner. Grant Shepherd found it to be a perfect escape from the rain, with hot drinks arriving faster than you can say 'tea time'. The homemade cakes, like the apple and cinnamon swirl, are a highlight. However, the 3/5 hygiene rating puts it in a precarious position.
While the staff are friendly, Teresa's experience was a bit dark, with dead flies on the window giving off serious horror movie vibes. It’s a gamble—great food but a hygiene rating that gives you the shivers. 🍰☕️
"The owner... was incredibly polite and friendly."
"Two lattes, a generous slice of apple and cinnamon swirl cake."
"Delicious homemade cakes, and hot or cold drinks."
