🏠 Pub The Garden Shed, 143-145 Haydons Road, Wimbledon, SW19 1HH
Tier Achieved:
Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
The Garden Shed is like a well-meaning friend who tries hard but can’t quite hit a home run. The food gets high marks for flavor, with dishes like banger and mash and pizza praised for their taste. Tom calls it fantastic and the portion sizes are generous, so at least you won’t leave hungry. However, the pub has some serious inconsistency issues when it comes to food quality—Chris wasn’t impressed with their fries, claiming they tasted like they came from a sad, frozen bag.
It’s got a nice vibe and the staff seems friendly, especially Jason. But the atmosphere isn’t quite cozy enough to ignore the food slip-ups. It’s a solid pub for a casual outing, just don’t expect to be blown away. 🍕
"The food is beautiful—not just in appearance"
"Food platters and pizza are delicious"
"The pub was originally a Victorian pub called The Horse & Groom"
