The Horseshoe & Castle is a solid pit stop, especially after a dog walk. Christian sang praises for their warm atmosphere featuring a real fire, and the snacks like whitebait and giant pigs in blankets hit the spot. Matty can’t stop gushing about Kevin and Lynne’s hospitality and the cozy rooms. If you're in the area, it’s worth a visit for a Sunday roast or just a pint. Just watch out for the occasional stuffed animal lurking in the dining room; Fiona wasn’t impressed by the taxidermy vibe.
Overall, if you’re after a reliable meal in a friendly setting, this is your place. But if you’re looking for a Michelin star, you might need to keep searching. It's a pub, not a palace, after all. Just don’t get stuck waiting for service like Q Dog did — that sounds like a real nightmare.
