PIERRE GRIFFES CAFE BAR AND BISTRO

Pierre Griffes Cafe Bar and Bistro is one of those places that tries very hard to be a hit, and honestly, it’s on the right track. Most patrons seem to leave with smiles, especially Alexander Ford, who was blown away by the superb food and the comfort of the atmosphere. The decor has a certain charm, and from the sounds of it, the steak and chips are the real stars here. Nick Moss can’t get enough of them, and who can blame him?

But there’s a flip side. The coffee might need a little work, as Saigh Chan discovered, and breakfast is apparently a gamble. Billy Macglashan had a less-than-stellar experience with the breakfast menu, which is a bit of a letdown. If you’re looking for a relaxed vibe and a decent meal, you’ll probably be okay here, but you might want to steer clear of breakfast.
