Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
The Larder is a local deli that’s riding the fine line between overpriced artisanal heaven and a cheeky rip-off. Sure, the array of cheeses looks stunning and the staff are friendly enough—but let’s not pretend we’re not paying artisanal prices for what could be found at a regular supermarket. Sean raves about the organic goodies, but let’s be real: a £4 loaf of stale bread? C’mon. Murray liked the vibe, especially from the long-haired guy behind the counter, but with prices like these, you might need a second mortgage just to snag a snack.
While The Larder might be award-winning in terms of local charm, it’s a bit hit or miss for daily essentials. Sure, the jam in the hampers is a hit (thanks, Deborah), but let's keep the overpriced bread and not-so-fresh soup for the tourists. If you’re feeling fancy and have a bit of cash to burn, it might be worth a visit. Just don’t expect your shopping list to be budget-friendly.
