The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Costa at LE1 3YA is a bit of a mixed bag. Sure, it’s got five hygiene stars, but the reviews scream more 'meh' than 'marvelous.' On a busy day, Tia Davies experienced top-notch service, complete with staff jokes that might actually make you laugh. But then you’ve got the likes of Dipam and Alysssa Sen, who faced a customer service apocalypse. Like really, who gets their cinnamon bun served cold with a side of attitude? The inconsistency is so on-brand for a chain, it’s like they just can’t decide if they want to be your cozy corner or a culinary dumpster fire.
All that said, if you’re into burnt coffee and staff that might throw shade with a smile, Costa could still be your jam. Just don’t expect it to be more than a caffeine pit stop when you’re out and about. You might want to check the vibe before fully committing to a seat.
