The food slaps and hygiene is "Good" — not perfect, but nothing to worry about. Go for it.
Twenty 8 is the café equivalent of your overly friendly neighbor—charming but slightly chaotic. Sue and her crew serve up a good breakfast and scrummy coffee, with a side of ‘we really tried, but we’re not perfect’. If you’re lucky, you’ll get a delightful dish like the posh mushrooms on sourdough, but watch out for the moldy cake that’ll make you reconsider your life choices.
It’s a nice enough place with a warm atmosphere, but the prices can be a bit much for what you’re getting. Plus, the noise level can hit a peak that feels like a café at rush hour, which isn’t ideal for a chilled brunch. Still, if you’re in the area and fancy a bite, it’s not the worst choice—just keep your eyes peeled for dodgy desserts.
