Tier Achieved:
Amazing food. Hygiene score you can forgive.
The food slaps and hygiene is "Good" β not perfect, but nothing to worry about. Go for it.
Thackaray's is your classic 'vanilla' spot, where the food is decent enough, but the service is a bit hit or miss. Louise greets you like a warm hug, while Olivia takes your order with all the enthusiasm of a soggy biscuit. The roast beef? Not bad, but I've had better. The real standout is the Crab Arancini, which apparently hits that three rosette standard, whatever that means. But be warned: if you're expecting attentive service, you might find yourself as neglected as Poppy at the bar on a busy day. Itβs a charming venue, but don't expect fireworks.
For a Sunday lunch, it's fine if you're in the area, and the views from the window are picturesque. But if you're looking for a Michelin star experience, you might want to keep scrolling. Remember, itβs better to be a bit overpriced than a complete letdown, right? Overall, it's the kind of place you take your parentsβjust donβt let them pick the wine.
