Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Riverfront Restaurant is your typical mid-range joint with a side of ‘meh’. Hygiene is a sparkling 5/5, so you can dine without worrying about the cleanliness, but the food is more hit or miss than a game of Whac-A-Mole. The fish and chips got a thumbs up from Tom Fleming, while the squid has a few folks scratching their heads. The vibe is lovely, especially with that riverside view, but if you’re after a culinary experience that’ll knock your socks off, you might want to keep looking.
Good for a quick bite while enjoying the scenery, but don’t expect it to be the highlight of your day. It’s the type of place where you can chill, but the food isn’t likely to be something you’ll rave about to your mates.
"Excellent fish and chips, burgers, pork croquettes and squid."
"Food was lovely. Busy, but fast service."
"The salt&pepper squid and goats cheese /beetroot salad were flavourful and I’d have again."
