Amazing food. Hygiene score you can forgive.
The food slaps and hygiene is "Good" — not perfect, but nothing to worry about. Go for it.
So, The Ivy Asia Chelsea is a real mixed bag. The place is decked out like a kitschy Asian art installment, and the staff, like Megg, are attentive enough to make you feel like royalty—especially if you can snag a lychee martini with candy floss on top. But don’t let the decor fool you; while the food looks good on Instagram, it seems to play it safe with flavors, like the duck and lamb curry that, according to Rob, could hardly be called a main course.
Sure, they’ve got a decent vibe for family celebrations, but if you’re looking for a romantic dinner, maybe steer clear unless you enjoy shouting over a DJ. Birthday fiascos aside, Yasmine did save a group from disaster by relocating them from the DJ’s blast zone, showing some serious customer service chops. Overall, it’s a flashy place that delivers a solid experience, but the food could use a little more oomph.
"Food was brilliant and beautifully presented"
"Megg was fabulous, very attentive"
"The unique atmosphere was the original draw"
