Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Saddle Cafe is aiming for cozy vibes but falls flat. The staff, like Victoria and Youssef, are total legends, making your experience almost enjoyable. I had the potato and eggs brioche which was solid, but the seating situation is tighter than my jeans after Christmas. The coffee is decent, especially that Spanish latte, but don’t expect to find your favorite dish on the menu if you go back too soon; they like to play hide and seek with their specials. Overall, it’s fine if you need a quick caffeine fix and aren’t bothered about elbowing your way to the table.
But if you’re looking for a calm brunch, you might want to keep looking. The açaí bowl? More like a frozen disappointment, and the noise level is like a toddler’s birthday party gone rogue. Saddle Cafe, you’re not terrible, but you’re definitely not winning any culinary awards anytime soon.
"Victoria was an absolute delight to interact with at the café."
"Youssef was extremely helpful and friendly."
"The coffee was perfect; the potato and eggs brioche was so good."
