Casa Desserts is the kind of indie spot that makes you wonder if you’ve been living under a rock. While it’s not winning any Michelin stars, the vibe is chill, and the desserts hit the spot. The crepes and waffles are fresh and delicious, but let’s be real, we’re here for the atmosphere and the friendly staff. Kevin and Ali are the kind of waiters that make you feel like family, which is a nice touch for a cafe in a tourist trap like Portobello.
But hold on, not all is sweet here. Some dishes might leave you feeling underwhelmed. SY Kwong found it decent but not mind-blowing. So, if you’re seeking something groundbreaking, you might want to keep looking. That said, if you just want a cozy spot to munch on some light bites, Casa Desserts is a reasonable choice for a laid-back outing.
