Tier Achieved:
Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Cafe Colbert is the classic Parisian brasserie that people keep talking about. The atmosphere might be as warm as a summer's day in Provence, but the service can be a bit hit or miss—like when you go to hug a friend and they turn out to be a lamp post. The food is consistently tasty, but if you’re expecting fireworks, you might want to look elsewhere.
Leisan loved the chicken liver parfait, and while you won’t go home hungry, there’s a feeling that you might have been served a bit more love on the side. Plus, the outdoor seating is nice for people-watching, though the service has been known to test your patience. If you want French comfort food and a spot of ambiance, this is your place, but don't go expecting Michelin stars—unless you want to be disappointed.
"The atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming."
