Benugo at Peter Jones is like that one friend who’s got great intentions but sometimes just can’t get it together. The hygiene is spotless, but the food and service definitely have their off days. John gushed about manager Osge—which, I’ll admit, sounds like a nice guy—but the food experience left him longing for better. Anoushka’s iced matcha may have had her swooning, but Linda was left wanting more from her tuna and caper sandwich, which was mysteriously caper-less. If you’re after a cozy cafe vibe, it’s decent, but don’t expect to dine like royalty here; you might want to just grab your food and run.
