Welcome to Acklam 242 Cafe, where the hygiene is on point but the food is a bit of a gamble. You walk in and think you’re safe, but then the coffee comes out like a mystery box. Some days, it’s a smooth ride; other days, it’s like they’re brewing a science experiment. Seriously, pulling an espresso shot with an empty grinder is a rookie mistake.
The food? Not too shabby, I guess. It’s decent enough to fill you up, but don’t expect fireworks. You might leave feeling satisfied but also a little confused about why the coffee was so hit or miss. The staff could use a lesson in coffee care, but hey, at least you won’t get a tummy bug here.
In a nutshell, if you’re in need of a caffeine fix and don’t mind rolling the dice, pop in. Just don’t get your hopes up for that perfect cup of joe.
