🏠 Charles Artisan Bread, 7-21 Goswell Road, London, EC1M 7AH
Tier Achieved:
For the germaphobe whose motto is 'food is fuel'.
Spotless kitchen, rubbish food. Won't get sick. Might wish you had. Emergency calories only.
Charles Artisan Bread is all about that hipster café aesthetic, but don’t expect the food to match the vibe. Katharina Reuschel is all in on the vegan pastries, but then we have others like Kacper tearing the place apart for stale food. Sounds like a recipe for disaster.
The décor is comfy, and the baristas seem skilled, but with the coffee too hot to drink and dry pastries that could double as hockey pucks, you might want to think twice before swinging by for a breakfast. It’s a fuel stop that might just fuel your disappointment instead.
"What a great find!"
"Cosy atmosphere, delicious milk coffees."
"The hashbrown and eggs caught both our attention, but didn’t come out as appetising as it sounds."
