Dawat is like that restaurant that has a lot of potential but sometimes misses the mark. Mike and Laila are singing their praises for the flavorful dishes and friendly service, but others are having wildly different experiences. Some dishes are divine, like Laila’s mixed grill, but others, like Emma's butter chicken drowning in oil, not so much.
It’s a love-hate relationship, but the passion from the staff shines through. If you catch them on a good day, you might just leave craving more. Just make sure you’re ready for the occasional letdown.
