Amazing food. Hygiene score you can forgive.
The food slaps and hygiene is "Good" β not perfect, but nothing to worry about. Go for it.
The Clarence Tavern is like that friend who always looks good but sometimes forgets how to keep it together. Itβs a Victorian pub turned modern dining spot, and Stephanie enjoyed the chicken and leek pie. But the service can be all over the place, with some patrons feeling ignored, as poor vitali experienced. The vibe is nice enough, but with a bill hitting three figures, your expectations climb. Everyone is raving about the quality, but do you really want to pay top dollar for a meal only to feel like youβre an afterthought?
If youβre in the area and fancy a posh pub experience, the Clarence could be your jamβbut donβt expect too much consistency. Itβs got charm, but if youβre looking for superb service, you might have to keep waving your arms. Overall, a safe spot for a good meal, but better keep your expectations in check.
"The service was excellent. I chose to share the chicken, leek, and bacon pie."
