Roosters Piri Piri (Hoxton) might just be the rollercoaster of chicken experiences. Hygiene’s on point at 5, but the Google rating tells a different story. Ion and Prince FDarkness were fans of the peri peri chicken, raving about it being the best they’ve had. But then you’ve got Vahied and Peter, who found the service and pricing to be like a bait and switch. One minute you’re enjoying your meal, the next you’re battling with unexpected charges and rude staff.
This place is serious when it comes to flavor, but the service could use a serious talking to. If you’re lucky enough to get the good staff, you’ll leave on a high. But step into a bad experience, and you might walk out feeling like you’ve been slapped with a wet fish. It’s a gamble, so proceed with caution.
