LA VERANDA CAFE

La Veranda Cafe is the type of spot that feels like it exists—somewhere between a delightful café and a sad excuse for a brunch place. With a 5-star hygiene score and a 4.3 Google rating, it’s safe, but let’s not pretend it’s a culinary revelation. Lorna W and Sa Mel found themselves enjoying the cake selection and solid cappuccinos, but Dan Fletcher had a good breakfast, albeit with a ‘meh’ crepe experience.

Bran and Saturn Travel was all about that bench seating and Sunday morning vibe, but it’s still not knocking anyone's socks off. Service might be lovely with complimentary brownies, but Shane Fergie made sure to point out that the seating could use an upgrade. The place is charming, but if you’re after something extraordinary, you might want to keep looking. It’s fine for a casual coffee but don’t expect fireworks.
