Food hygiene meets Google reviews. Find your unicorn.

Tier Achieved:
For the germaphobe whose motto is 'food is fuel'.
Spotless kitchen, rubbish food. Won't get sick. Might wish you had. Emergency calories only.
Cafe 89 is a caffeine oasis with the hygiene of a hospital but the reviews scream chaos. You’d think with a 5/5 hygiene rating and a secret Costa vibe, it’d be perfect, but those Google reviews tell a different story. With a dismal 2.3⭐, this place might just be where taste buds go to die. Dave Dome thinks it’s a chill spot for coffee, but Caroline and Luke Roberts were left wondering if they walked into a horror movie with the state of the service and food.
Patrons have reported the service as painfully slow and the food as downright tragic. You might get a clean table, but you’ll probably wait forever just to be disappointed by a lukewarm breakfast that seems to have gone through the microwave. It’s definitely fuel-stop material — hygienic enough to eat, but I wouldn’t risk it for a meal worth your time.
"Great place for a quiet coffee and cake."
"Pleasant service, not fancy fussy food."
"Took 20mins to order, service so slow!"
