The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Forest Lodge Garden Centre is the kind of place that’s more about plants and garden gnomes than fine dining, but the restaurant there gives it a good run. It’s clean, bright, and has a decent carvery option for lunch if you’re famished after your horticultural adventures. The staff seem to be on their A-game, offering help like they’ve got a PhD in customer service.
While the breakfast gets some love and the cakes are almost worthy of an Instagram post, be careful with the fish dishes. Luke found the fish and chips a bit too frozen for his liking, which is like finding out the love of your life is actually a hologram. So, if you come here, just stick to the safer options and you might just leave with a smile.
