🏠 Clyst St George, Exeter, EX3 0QJ
Tier Achieved:
Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
St George And Dragon is your classic pub experience — if you can overlook the occasional kitchen mishap. While Kaye raves about the vegetarian options and her hubby swears the fish and chips are the best he's had, others aren't so kind. Alan's festive turkey was rock hard, and Hayley's steak was practically mooing. The newly done-up venue looks fab, but it seems like the food still needs a bit of polish. The pub has a cozy atmosphere, but if you were expecting a Michelin-star meal, you might leave a bit deflated.
Overall, it’s a mix of delightful and dire. The service gets thumbs up, but the food? Well, let’s just say it’s best not to arrive too hungry. If you fancy a pint and a pie, you might be alright, but don’t expect a culinary revelation.
"Hubby said best pub Fish and Chips he'd had."
"Has a good sized cat park."
