Prospect Plaice is the classic seaside fish and chip shop, but it’s not without its hiccups. The fish is fresh, and if you enjoy mushy peas, you’ll be happy with what’s on offer. There’s consistent praise for the friendly staff, like Wendy Brown, who had a great time upstairs. But hold onto your forks—some folks got served frozen chips that’d make a frozen pizza feel more fulfilling.
If you’re lucky, you’ll snag a good meal, but be wary of the consistency. You might find yourself in a delightful dining experience or a regret-filled visit. Overall, it’s a decent place to grab a bite, as long as you’re not expecting Michelin-star dining. Just keep your orders safe—there’s a thin line between fantastic and frozen.
