Amazing food. Hygiene score you can forgive.
The food slaps and hygiene is "Good" — not perfect, but nothing to worry about. Go for it.
Branches Cafe at Poltimore House Trust is your go-to spot for a solid breakfast or lunch. Dogs are not just tolerated but treated to doggy ice cream, which is a definite plus if you’re a pet owner. The menu boasts fresh, locally sourced dishes, with their gluten-free panini getting a shout-out for being particularly stunning. Plus, the cakes are massive—because who doesn’t want a slice of cake the size of their face?
The volunteer-run cafe has charm in spades. Lynne Brady raved about the friendly staff and the clean environment, while Dave Dome enjoyed the lovely setting. Even if the service can be a tad slow when it’s busy, the good vibes and delicious food make up for it. Just watch out for the occasional dry cake—Kerry might have been onto something there. Overall, it’s a lovely spot worth a casual visit, especially with the garden walks afterward.
