For the mildly adventurous. Non-zero chance of the 💩s.
Great food, but the kitchen's had some "notes" from the inspector. Worth it? Probably. Pack Imodium just in case.
The Weir is the type of spot that lures you in with its scenic lake views and traps you with its decent food. After a muddy canal walk, I stumbled in, and let me tell you, the Full Weir breakfast hit the spot. The staff, while a mixed bag, had a friendly vibe that added to the experience. But watch out for the service—seems like they’re still figuring out their table system because burnt bread was a recurring theme for some.
If you’re planning a family outing, the kids’ playground is a solid distraction while you chow down on BBQ buffet staples like steaks and burgers. Just make sure you check your burger for doneness—raw mince isn’t the surprise you want on a Sunday afternoon. Overall, it’s a hit or miss, but the good vibes and nice coffee might just be enough to keep you coming back for more.
"The food was delicious, the service friendly and the coffee Fantastic too."
"They provided a BBQ buffet with steaks, burgers and salads and the food was really good."
"Lovely coffee (Flat White and a latte). Flapjack was tasty and moist, generous portion too."
