The food slaps and hygiene is "Good" — not perfect, but nothing to worry about. Go for it.
The Cornish Pie Company is living proof that you can have a great pie and still be a bit basic. Gareth is not a fan of pasties but found their pies a revelation, which is saying something. The steak and ale pie comes highly recommended, and it’s hard to argue with that after hearing about it from Gurdip, who practically floated away after indulging. The atmosphere is friendly, and the staff are just the right amount of welcoming without being annoying.
However, if you’re hoping for gourmet flair, you might want to keep looking. It’s solid, it’s hearty, and it’s what you'd expect from a pie shop in Cornwall. Just don’t expect it to change your life or anything. 🥧
