The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
San Carlo is like that upscale friend who has their moments but can also let you down. Mary was celebrating her anniversary and had a laugh with the staff, but it sounds like the service is a bit hit or miss. The menu is extensive, and the food gets praise for taste, especially that prawn and asparagus risotto. But not everyone leaves with a smile; Kick_the_AJ felt a bit let down on a special occasion, and Yee Laam Lam was left waiting for water.
The vibe is nice, and it's a great venue for special occasions, just be prepared for potential hiccups in service. If you don’t mind playing the waiting game, you might just enjoy what’s on your plate.
