Galo’s Kitchen is the kind of Italian restaurant that makes you feel like you’re home—if your home was somehow both charming and delicious. Paul Lord was all about the attentive service and the three-course set menu for £30, which he called excellent value. Eden, who knows Italian food better than most, declared it the best he’s seen, and that’s high praise.
The seafood and handmade pasta had both Johanna and Alex raving, especially the scallops, which were apparently the stuff of dreams. But like any love story, there were a few bumps; Brittany found some hits and misses with her food. Overall, if you’re after authentic Italian without the hefty price tag, this is the spot. Just maybe double-check your pizza's doneness first. 🍝
