Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
The Terrace Bistro seems like a classic case of 'you get what you pay for.' It’s beloved by the over-80s crowd, which is a double-edged sword. On one hand, you have a charming little cafe with well-cooked English breakfasts as Jo highlights. On the other, you've got some not-so-great experiences like Dennis's bad service, and Terry dealing with a rude waitress who should probably find a new gig. Olive's sandwich was a bit overpriced, which is a common theme that runs through the reviews. Overall, it's a decent enough pit stop if you're in the area, but don’t go expecting anything life-changing.
"The food was well prepared and tasty."
"All cooked to perfection."
"Nothing wrong with that just not my idea of cafe society."
