Amazing food. Hygiene score you can forgive.
The food slaps and hygiene is "Good" — not perfect, but nothing to worry about. Go for it.
Marjayz is the kind of place where your taste buds go on a Caribbean holiday without you. Issi’s mom thinks it’s the best Caribbean spot in town, and with good reason. The goat curry is tender enough to make you weep, while the jerk chicken is so good you’ll be planning your wedding to it. Charis loved the generous portions that won’t leave you feeling robbed. It’s the real deal, and if you want comfort food that feels like a warm hug, look no further.
However, there are murmurs of inconsistency, especially around portion sizes, but don’t let that deter you. It’s family-run, which adds that homey vibe that’s sometimes hard to find in the food scene. If you want some authentic Caribbean food that’ll make you shout, “Take my money!”, this is your spot.
"Mom said it’s the best Caribbean food she’s had in a while."
"The portion sizes were big with a range of dishes available."
"The jerk chicken is a must-eat, paired well especially with peas+rice."
