The epitome of "does the job." Safe enough, food's fine. But let's be honest — your kitchen's probably cleaner AND tastier.
Istanbul Restaurant is the kind of place that gives you a warm hug with a side of Turkish delight. The food is on point, with everyone raving about the lamb ribs and the endless complimentary bread—seriously, who doesn’t love free carbs? Sneets S was over the moon about the service, and Wahida Yasmin noticed the renovations, even if they came with a price hike and smaller portions. The family-friendly vibe mixed with those sweet Turkish teas makes for a nice evening out.
But it’s not all love and cuddles. Hasham Saeed called out the Afghan chefs, claiming the food didn’t quite match the Turkish vibe. And let’s be real, if you're going to promise me a Turkish culinary adventure, I better not be getting a detour into Afghanistan. Still, if you’re in the mood for decent food and friendly service, Istanbul could be worth a shot, just don’t expect the culinary passport stamp.
