The epitome of "does the job." Safe enough, food's fine. But let's be honest — your kitchen's probably cleaner AND tastier.
Lakeside Fish & Chips has been a mixed bag lately. Vicky Squires swears by their jumbo battered sausage and fresh fish, but not everyone is singing their praises. Mark, TORQue, and others are feeling short-changed on chip portions and the quality has taken a nosedive. It’s like they can’t decide if they want to be a local favorite or a cautionary tale.
If you’re lucky, you might catch a good meal, but watch out for some seriously disappointing experiences. The staff seem friendly enough, but that won't fill you up when your chips are dodgy. So if you’re in the mood for fish and chips, maybe think about rolling the dice here, or better yet, bring your own snacks just in case.
