Tier Achieved:
Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Chew Valley Raj is like that friend who always tries but sometimes falls short. The hygiene is solid, and the food gets praise for being decent, but some folks have had their fair share of disappointments. Jo Davies started off strong with a takeaway order that went smoothly, but Clive Hunt’s shoutout about it being a hidden gem feels a bit exaggerated when others faced dry chicken and cold dishes. It’s hit or miss, and that’s putting it mildly.
Sure, the curry has potential, but if your experience is anything like Jayne Young’s, you might wonder why you even bothered. They’ve sorted the toilets out, but let’s not forget about the lukewarm food that’s had some diners questioning their taste buds. If you're willing to risk a mixed bag of curry, you might enjoy it. If not, consider your options carefully. 🍛
"We had our hearts set on curry!"
"Decent food, good portions and reasonable price."
"It a smallish seated area, but the food is outstanding."
